Activity: ALOT.

As of this morning, I am back to 226, which puts me back at the 10lbs lost mark since Jan. This makes me fairly happy. Building for the DM Renaissance Faire and keeping up with other stuff has made it hard to keep a healthy diet, but the construction work is good exercise.

The last few week of LUI I got distracted by life; moving and the advent of Faire season made it impossible to eat right. Things have settled back to routine, almost. So back on the wagon fer me.

Yes - now that lightenupiowa is over - I FINALLY drop below my starting weight! Sorry guys - I was hoping to contribute to the weight lost # - but it didn't happen. But yay for this week!

I'm glad ppl like sparkpeople.com - I will pass along your thanks to my sister who introduced me to it.

I want to keep using this check-in with you guys as a motivator - but I'm not sure what parts I want to keep using. I started out with the goal of being more healthy and as a side benefit I lost weight... but I gotta admit that now that I've gotten this far - I like the idea of losing the final 20 lbs needed to be my "ideal weight."

So I guess I'll just track that here. And maybe just say whether or not I'm sticking to my cardio goals on sparkpeople. (so far so good)

I'm not sure how I feel about including goals here - I think my goal is to follow the sparkpeople plan... so no real need to post about it other than to be accountable as to whether I'm doing it or not.

I do have a question about sparkpeople - do any of you know a way to enter a standard daily meal? it seems silly to enter, egg, toast, oatmeal, banana, apple, + peanut butter for my daily breakfast and lunch - EVERY day - when it's almost always the same.

I'm glad we are sticking with this! Go Us!!

I just joined this site for free:

I'm sending invites to those of you I have email addresses for.

My sister has been using the site for a few weeks and she said she feels like she is gaining a better idea of what is actually going into her body and how that fits into her goals.

So far I've really only used the nutrition page and so far I'm impressed. I have been frustrated by sites that recommend #s of servings or # of calories but don't give any toold for tracking them. I have just entered what I ate yesterday (had to use the "Add a food not listed" button) and I have a much better idea of why my weight is doing what it is doing.

Anyway - I think it could be a good tool - so I'd let you all know about it.

Hello all!

I will get final numbers into them tonight from those who have reported. Sorry I wasn't more helpful. As it turns out I went back to Weight Watchers tonight. I am serious about it again and I am attending a kickboxing class twice a week. I appreciate all of your help getting me back on track. Sorry I never got your tee-shirts to you.

I just got my Lighten Up Iowa email and it looks like today is the last day! Is that right??

So here are the minutes I should have today:
135 min total: 25 min biking, 90 min yoga, + 20 min swimming.

And again I've been crappy tracking my fruit - so I say go with my averages.

Apparently L gets entered into a drawing for free walking shoes if she gets our #s in on time - so I hope everyone makes it easy on her.

Goal for this week: Break the sugar addiction.

I can't believe I lost a pound this week. I completely went off my dietary restrictions while at the Pagan festival. I had chocolate for breakfast one day!!

But maybe it's muscle I lost - b/c I walked around a lot - but it wasn't very strenuous - except the dancing around the bonfire parts.

I guess we will see how my body reacts to getting back into eaty healthy stuff.

Moving and the first ren fest are not conducive to eating healthy. I tend to snack in the workshop, and when I eat at the faires, i generally eat too much of the wrong stuff. Getting back to TKD this week, getting back on the healthy food wagon, and re-establishing my work routines after the recent shake-ups will get me back on the right path.

I posted on my journal that I got a fitness assessment done and I'm pretty happy with my results. They said I should work on strength training and flexibility. I can't see myself lifting weights - I can't trick my brain into thinking I'm doing that for fun. But at least my DansKinetics class started up again - so I will be getting some flexibility training in.
